RiACT Transforms factory floor at LHM

The metal manufacturer LHM scales automation with RiACT
The Danish metal manufacturer LHM has achieved a remarkable 1200% increase in production since adopting RiACT’s automation software in 2025. What makes this growth notable isn’t just the scale—but how they achieved it.
Originally a small machine tending company, LHM had ambitious goals of scaling automation and moving toward lights-out, 24/7 production. Like many manufacturers, they faced a key challenge: scaling typically requires hiring skilled automation engineers, which can be both costly and time-consuming.
Instead, LHM took a different approach.
By implementing RiACT’s easy-to-use automation software, they enabled their existing shop floor operators to take control of robotic systems. Without needing advanced programming skills, operators were able to quickly set up, calibrate, and reconfigure robots and other hardware. This made it easy to switch between different production batches with minimal downtime.
As a result, LHM scaled production rapidly—without expanding their team.
In a short time, they grew from operating just one robot cell to five, with further expansion already underway. More importantly, their production setup became flexible and adaptable, allowing them to meet increasing customer demand while maintaining efficiency.
LHM’s success shows that scaling in manufacturing no longer has to rely on adding complexity or headcount. With the right software, automation becomes accessible, flexible, and ready to grow with the business.
